Maths making two digit numbers 3/9/18

We worked on making, ordering and comparing two digit numbers this week. We used numicon, dienes and money to show how many tens and ones numbers have.

Week commencing 17th September

English- Will be learning how to rhyme, using noun phrases and we will also be revising capital letters in SPAG. We will be writing our own space poem on Friday in Big Write. 

Maths - We will be continuing our work on place value. We will be learning how to partition numbers in different ways using base ten equipment as well as using the greater and less than symbols again in a game.

Art- We will be designing our clay aliens.

PE- We will be continuing our ball skills this week playing lots of games involving football. 

Science -We will be investiagting which materials can keep an astronaught safe when landing in his parachute.

Computing - We will be using the beebot programme to programme beebots in a game situation.

Love to Read lesson - We will be continuing our reading of 'Man on the Moon' and working on retrieval questions this week using evidence in the text to help us answer questions. 

Homework books will be given out on Thursday this week.
