Boosting w/c: 4th February 2019

The sessions will start at 8:30 and run until 8:55. They will provide an opportunity for some extra small group and 1:1 tuition to help accelerate your child’s learning, they will be run in a relaxed and calm environment.

This week’s sessions are:

Monday 4th February through to Thursday 7th February

We will be looking at:

Equivalent fractions; decimals; percentages

Percentages of amounts

Fractions of amounts

Mental maths- quick fire doubling and halving of 2-digit numbers

Every week, the children will be given a piece of maths and English homework on Friday, to be handed in the following Thursday.

The English homework will consist of writing activities and reading activities; these will alternate each week. Maths homework will usually be something that relates to what we have been learning that week in school.

Alongside homework, the children should read at home every day. We have a rewards system in school, whereby the children are rewarded for every 25 times that they read at home (10 pages or more). The children also have TT Rockstars accounts and should be practising they're times tables on these, also 3 times a week. They should be able to do this independently.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding homework, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Many thanks,

Mr Crossley
