Making mini glacier models

In our topic lesson today we have made mini glacier models. The flour represented the soil and the land and the ice represented the glacier. As the glacier moved around we could see how the landscape changes.

Golden Time

Our topic this half term is polar regions. For a Golden Time treat, we made polar bear biscuits!

Scrapyard Challenge!

Year 3 investigated what materials were magnetic and non-magnetic and sorted them into groups.

South America- Bolivia

We made God's Eyes in our Topic lessons this week. This Bolivian tradition is made and placed on the altar in the church. It represents God's eye watching over all that pray there. They are beautiful- well done Year 3!

We are designing our own games in PE using our sending and receiving skills.

Maths

We made our own number lines using metre sticks and post its.

Zoo Lab Visit

For our South America Topic we invited a Zoo Lab Ranger to visit us with lots of animals from South America. All of the children (and adults) loved this experience! We are writing non-chronological reports this week about the different animals that we met.

Animals Including Humans

Our models of how the muscles, bones and tendons work together in our hands.
