Kirkstall St. Stephen’s C of E (Voluntary Aided) Primary School

Autumn 1 - Week 6 - Homework

Next Wednesday we leave for our exciting residential to Kingswood so we have a reduced amount of homework this week. There will be no spellings and no Literacy homework.

Maths - Long multiplication task sheet.

Reading - Page 10-11 in comprehension homework books. The Year 6 children have been doing amazingly with their reading. We already have 7 students in Year 6 who have read over fifty times in their own time outside school since the start of the chool year - keep it up, Year 6!

The children will receive homework on the Friday of every week. Each Friday, the children will receive a Maths and Literacy task as well as spellings to practice at home. On top of this, the children must practice their times tables at least 3 times per week and are expected to read every night at home. Please may you keep track of your child’s reading by signing their reading records. Homework is due in every Thursday. If your child is struggling to complete their homework at home, they can attend homework club during lunch break at school. It is really important for the children to keep on top of their homework as we begin to ready them for the step-up to high school next year (even though that is still quite far away!)
