Creative Homework Autumn Term 1

Children need to choose at least one activity from the creative grid to complete before the date on the sheet.

In accordance with our school homework policy, homework is set on a weekly basis. To simplify this for the children in Year 3 rather than setting Maths, English and Topic every week we alternate between Maths and English weekly and then have Topic homeworks during the term, too. All homework consists of 4 tasks. The children should attempt each task for no more than 10 minutes, meaning that homework should take 40 minutes. Our school policy states that children should be completing homework for a total of 1 hour 30 per week This leaves 50 minutes for reading, spelling and times table practice.

Homework is available in the classroom all week and is due in on Thursday. It is always directly linked to activities the children have completed in class that week. Homework club runs every day, and the children can come and check with teachers if they are unsure about any of the tasks.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of
all children, and expects our staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
