Vision Statement
‘We are cherished...We are challenged... We are children of God’
Our school vision
We are cherished - we aim to create a caring environment, where all children and staff feel welcome, supported, valued and respected.
We are challenged - we aim to provide a stimulating and challenging learning environment, where achievements are recognised and it is also safe to fail.
We are children of God - we recognise the value of each and every individual, and aim to encourage everyone's unique spiritual development and potential.
17:
This vision is complemented by our values tree based on Jeremiah 17:7-8
Jeremiah 17:7-8
Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.
Central to our aims is an expectation that the children of Kirkstall St Stephen’s CE Primary School will display high standards of behaviour and treat other people as they would wish to be treated themselves in accordance with our school rules. We promote an environment which helps children develop into confident, well-motivated and hard- working pupils who enjoy school and have high self-esteem, and who go onto achieve their full potential.
We are cherished, we are challenged, we are children of God
We are cherished, we are challenged, we are children of God
We are cherished, we are challenged, we are children of God
We are children of St. Stephen’s school.
We know that we are cared for and we all try to be kind
If we need someone to help us, we know that’s what we’ll find
We all work well together and let our talents show
We all need love to help us grow.
We are cherished, we are challenged, we are children of God
We are cherished, we are challenged, we are children of God
We are cherished, we are challenged, we are children of God
We are children of St. Stephen’s school.
Sometimes our work is hard and we really need to try
When it seems too hard to do, we know the reason why
A challenge is so good for us, it helps us to learn more
So we won’t just fly we’ll really soar.
Our school prayer
God be in me to guide me through the day,
God be in my eyes to see things I am thankful for,
God be in my mouth to use kind words and to forgive my friends,
God be in my hands to guide my actions and respect others,
God be in my head to persevere when times get tough,
God be in my heart to help me trust others,
God be in my feet to keep the world running fairly,
And God be in Kirkstall St. Stephen's!
